Watershed: Volume II Time Travel Device considers excavation, portals, and time travel. It draws from sonic and visual concepts to construct spaces for conversation and contemplation of past, present and possible futures. The video, Double Portal, is projected on the interior and exterior of building and appears to penetrate the membrane of the architecture. Each of three screen sculptures contains a microphone that captures the sonic energy of viewers in the space to create delayed amplified feedback. The central painting is a portal, unearthed to create a conduit for time travel, and a place for ritualistic performance and spiritual contemplation.
