Desert Scores

Desert Scores is a series of paintings confronting the possibilities of improvisation from a concrete form or score.  Derived from a very real sense of oasis and spatial harmony that the artist experiences daily in the Chihuahuan Desert in Marfa, Texas, these works in a series of 11, are permutations of shapeshifting architectures molded into a singular form, through painting, drawing, printing and collage.
